Buckeroos

The Buckeroo Square Dance Club has been dancing for 57 years. The Buckeroo Barn used to be the old skating rink at Winchester Dam. The owner got tired of all the noise every night so donated the Barn and sold the piece of property it now sits on to the Buckeroos, and carried the contract for the land. The barn was dismantled board by board and reassembled on the present site. It took many chicken dinners to put it back together. Six hundred dancers attended the Grand Opening. The caller asked the Buckeroos to sit out and let the visitors dance.

Upcoming Events:

• Beginning Square Dance Lessions
Class is now closed to newdancers. New class will begin again in Sept. 2012.

• Beginning Round Dance Lessions
All classes will run from 7 to 9 p.m.
Two different round dance classes will begin in January 2012
The first beginning on Monday, January 9th—Foxtrot—cost: $6 per couple, the second on Thursday, January 12th—Waltz and Two-Step—cost $5 per couple. This class will run until May.
